Alpha 4.2 is live today!


Alpha 4.2.0 is finally here! I didn't get as far as I had hoped on the area past the temple, but what I did add is an entire title screen and pause menu! The current plan is to overhaul all of the game's keybindings soon, as well as add more content up until (but not including) the first major plot-significant boss fight this summer, to be released as 4.3; once this version releases, I'm looking to collaborate with some people who are interested in streaming the game on Twitch or other platforms, so let me know if you are interested in this.

New features
  • Added a title screen with four save slots!
  • Added a pause menu, from which sound and music volume can be changed
  • The Z key can now be used as a hotkey to look at something you are facing
  • Added some new sounds and graphics
  • Screen transitions are now placed just past the edge of the room rather than on the outermost tile
  • Press F11 to toggle fullscreen
  • Custom cursor
  • Several new areas past the Coppersky Temple
Bug fixes
  • At the end of combat, it had been necessary to click "end turn" once or twice to restore movement points
  • Sometimes, items in travel mode would not appear
  • It had been possible to push enemies up cliffs
  • Enemies in one room that were supposed to retreat after they attacked did not do so
  • Pushing a player character would deduct movement points
  • Action menu would not reappear after dialogue finished
